Crypto Shortlinks Explained: Rewards, Redirects and Safety Tips

A crypto shortlink is a link that sends you through one or more ad pages before you reach a final destination. Shortlink services earn from those ads, and reward sites share part of that with you for completing the link. Shortlinks usually pay more than a faucet claim, but they come with more ads, more redirects and more risk.

How a shortlink works

  1. On the reward site, you open a shortlink. The site creates a unique link for you.
  2. You land on the shortlink service's pages. Typically you wait a few seconds, solve a captcha and click "continue", sometimes over two or three pages.
  3. The final step redirects you back to the reward site with a code that proves you finished.
  4. The reward is credited. Each shortlink can usually only be completed a limited number of times per day.

If you skip steps, use an ad blocker that breaks the pages, or close the tab before the final redirect, the reward site never sees the completion code and nothing is credited.

Why there are so many pop-ups

Shortlink services are paid per ad impression and click, and some use aggressive ad networks. Expect fake "Download" buttons, new tabs, prompts to allow notifications, and occasionally pages that pretend your device has a virus. None of these are part of the task.

Safety habits that help

  • Only click the real "continue" button. It usually appears after the timer, often near the captcha. Ignore large flashy buttons.
  • Never allow notifications on a shortlink page. If you have already done it, remove the site under your browser's notification settings.
  • Never install anything a shortlink page offers, such as extensions, "players" or "cleaners".
  • Close unexpected tabs and go back to the shortlink tab.
  • Use a separate browser profile for reward sites, keep your browser updated, and don't stay signed in to important accounts in that profile.
  • Never enter a password or seed phrase on a page you reached through a shortlink.

Is it worth the time?

Time a few shortlinks from start to finish, including the captchas, and divide the reward by the minutes taken. That gives you an honest per-hour figure to compare with PTC ads, offers or anything else. Our earnings guide walks through the maths.

Shortlinks on ClaimSatoshi

Shortlinks are listed in your dashboard with the reward and the remaining daily views for each. Partner shortlinks appear after our own. If a completed shortlink was not credited, make sure you reached the final redirect back to ClaimSatoshi. If you did, contact support with the shortlink name and the time.

Try it yourself.

A free account takes a minute. Rewards are small and depend on which tasks you do, so start with whatever suits your time.
