Crypto Offerwalls Explained: Surveys, Games, Apps and Reward Credit

An offerwall is a list of tasks supplied by a third-party company: surveys, app installs, game milestones, free trials and sign-ups. Reward sites embed these walls and pay you in crypto when you complete an offer. Offerwalls usually pay the most per task of any earning method. They are also the most likely to go wrong, because three parties are involved.

Who is involved

1. The advertiser: the app, game or survey company that wants users.
2. The offerwall network: it lists the offer, tracks your completion and pays the reward site.
3. The reward site (such as ClaimSatoshi): it shows the wall and credits you when the network confirms.

The reward site never sees you install the app or finish the survey. It only gets a message, called a "postback", from the offerwall network saying "user X completed offer Y, credit Z". No postback means no credit.

Types of offers

• Surveys: quick credit, but you can be screened out partway. Answer consistently. Contradictory answers get rewards rejected.
• App installs and game milestones: pay well, but "reach level 20" can take days. The tracking clock usually starts when you install through the wall.
• Sign-ups and trials: read the terms. Some need a payment card, and cancelling is your responsibility.

Why rewards are held or reversed

• Only do offers you have not done before on any site. Most advertisers pay for new users only.
• Read the requirements and the time limit before you start, and screenshot your progress.
• Avoid offers that ask for sensitive data you are not comfortable sharing, and never give an offer page your seed phrase.
• Install apps only from official app stores.
